On Sept. 9, 2000 (our actual 50th wedding anniversary) our two daughters honored us with a Dinner Party at Embassy Suites in McAllen, TX. On Sept. 10 we had an Open House. Many guests attended one or both of these occastions. |

NOTE: I have not been able to delete my AOL address from some sites on the Internet. It is no longer valid and your e-mail will not go through. I do still receive e-mail at bmklusk@juno.com, but I don't check there regularly. Due to my receiving too much SPAM, I am not listing our e-mail addresses that we use more regularly. If you write to the juno address, please understand that it could be a while before I may read e-mails there and possibly reply. Thanks for visiting - there may be more later, so come back again... In the meantime, if you have any additional comments, please e-mail us. Also, we appreciate your signing our Guest Book! |

I am searching for family ancestors. At my other sites I have given names and details about the most distant individuals in our eight respective families.
Much time has been spent at the computer - it and I have almost exploded. Ha! Also have visited libraries, research centers, cemeteries, relatives, etc. In January, 2000 I published a 600+ page book about the KOCHER - BURKHOLDER and HAUBACH - STOTTLEMYER ancestors. Those copies are all sold. In 2004 we moved away from the location of our printer, so additional copies are probably not obtainable any more.
Since January 2000 more Kocher & Stottlemyer descendants have been found. We have also done more research on Frank's family - in Arkansas and Tennessee. I hope to later publish something about the LUSK-STEPHENS ELLIS-BURCHETT/BIRCHETT families. |

SEPT. 9, 2000 WAS THE BIG DAY! - Our 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Celebrations were planned. One occurred from July 5-July 31, 2000. We took a trip to Great Britain and Ireland. Frank's forbears probably came from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and/or England. We did not do any research, though. It was a fun trip. We were not concerned about flights, accommodations, dining, touring, or transportation while there. We rode over 4,111 miles and walked quite a bit every day enjoying the sights: castles, palaces, cathedrals, churches, museums, crystal and porcelain factories, quaint villages and interesting towns and cities, beautiful green countryside, the mountainous Highlands of Scotland, ferry rides to and from Ireland and boat trips in the Plymouth, England harbor and on Loch Lomond in Scotland. |

Below are family photos. Our family has grown since the two of us were married! We had two daughters, Christine and Diana. Now we have eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren - with another expected July 2005.
First of all - photos of Frank & me with our parents and siblings (not all of Frank's siblings).

On our trip, music played a part in several of the places we visited while in the British Isles. We attended a service in the Salisbury Cathedral and enjoyed the choir. Then in Ireland we had three highlights related to music. The first was at a wonderful concert! in a church in Killarney (across from our hotel) performed by the Western New York Children's Choir. This was not pre-planned. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time! The second was a presentation after a Medieval Banquet near Limerick. The third was a very outstanding production in Dublin which included Irish dancing, vocal music, and an Irish comedian (2 1/2 hrs.) following a banquet. |
